Pre- 2026 XC Ski Week Newsletter
XC Ski Week News – It’s ON!
If you’ve been wondering… yes, XC Ski Week is happening! 🙌
While we might be keeping one eye on the snow forecast (and doing a little snow dance on the side ❄️), all the behind-the-scenes planning is powering ahead at full speed.
👉 And even in a worst-case scenario with limited fresh snow, the week will still be packed with great events, great people, and plenty of good times.
As the saying goes… “Don’t worry about a thing…” 😉
🌨️ We’ve Been Here Before
Snow conditions can be unpredictable, but one thing’s for sure—we always find a way.
Over the years we’ve adapted with different race starts and locations, including starting the KAC Classic at Betts and Spencers Creek, and we’ll do the same again if needed.
Where there’s a will (and skis), there’s a way!
🤝 More Than Just Racing
For many, XC Ski Week is as much about catching up with friends as it is about competition.
It’s a chance to reconnect, relax, and enjoy everything the valley has to offer.
And this year… we’re adding something new 👇
🍷 NEW: Start of XC Ski Week – Greet & Meet
We’re kicking things off in style with a brand-new social event:
📍 The Stables Lounge 🗓️ Saturday (opening weekend) ⏰ From 4:30pm
✔️ Your first beer or wine is on us ✔️ Finger food provided ✔️ A relaxed, social atmosphere to start the week right
🎉 The perfect way to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones before the action begins!

Perisher XC Gold Partners
A big thank you to the following organisations who support Perisher XC in a variety of ways.
More information will be coming out about each of our sponsors within a PXC News, coming out soon.
These are our Gold Partners.
Support is provided either in-kind, but mainly through monetary contributions. These funds help cover a range of costs—from running promotional activities and maintaining the website, to supporting trail maintenance expenses and purchasing capital items. For example, in previous years these funds have gone towards buying Bluey the tracksetter, rock drills and other capital items.
A COMMUNITY MESSAGE.
Our FaceBook group - PERISHER XC SKIING COMMUNITY is now 1 year old, This is a timely reminder considering that we are halfway through the season.
This new group is for everyone in the XC skiing community to use, whether you are an existing skier or for those new to XC skiing. It’s an online XC community space where anyone can: · Share photos and stories from the trails · Ask questions about XC skiing · Thank volunteers · Stay updated on events and trail conditions · Feel part of the Perisher XC family
These dot-points are just a few reasons to make a post. The topics are almost endless. Here are a few more - a group selfie with friends, a motivational message, a thank you to the grooming team, a weather update, a tip for beginners, and a question for the community. Get the idea? Share a post - When making a post in your own favorite FaceBook group, just share it across to PERISHER XC SKIING COMMUNITY Group and the job is done. If you are a club don't forget to advertise who you are, in the comments area at the start of the shared post. Short is good, but if you have more to say, say it + also drop in in your best shot. Also, when putting in a post it is good to have the "Check In" or Location as "Perisher XC Centre & Trails" if FaceBook will let you. Your Challenge - When next up on the snow try posting one thing in the new Facebook Group! Let’s build a strong, welcoming Perisher XC Community, together. Let you in on a secret – we have an ulterior motive for having this FaceBook Group – It's to build a bigger group who do XC skiing, from where we have more fun, increase the numbers who take part in any event, help increase our volunteer base, and in the end just might help in funding too. All noble and good reasons why to support this group.
