The morning groom on the inner trails yesterday was a bit limited but the tradeoff was, we now have groomed trails from the Nordic shelter, all the way to the Porcupine, over Mt Wheatly and down to Perisher Gap, just next to the Eyre T bar (and coffee shop). If that is a bit too much, take the Porcupine Link trail and return via rock creek or up to the trails just past Valhalla plateau. Great for touring, classic or skating but be mindful, it is the first groom and there are a few areas requiring caution.
Be aware, there will be some huffing and puffing from the Kosi tour skiers as they complete their fun race on the Porcupine Link. Cheer them on.
Yesterday also saw two Pulks on the trails. Wondering what a Pulk is ? Better read tomorrow's report !
Most of the inner trails are groomed and track set for today. The exceptions are Paddys link and part of the 7km.
Weather wise, it should be a another good day, the stars are out and the winds are light.
John at the Nordic Shelter.
