Events and activities to suit everyone.................

2025 XC WEEK – MIDWEEK UPDATE

DONE & DUSTED:

·      Friday 1 August – Australian National Sprints

·      Saturday 2 August – Australian National Distance

·      Saturday 2 August – Illawara Club Races

·      Sunday 3 August – Boonoona Open

·      Monday 4 August – KAC Classic

·      Tuesday 5 August – Mystery Coffee Tour

All these events successfully were run in wildly differing weather and snow conditions. Congratulations to all the winners and competitors who are embracing the opportunities to participate, some competitively and many just for the fun and social-ness of it. Special thanks to the volunteers and organisers!

Wednesday 6 August 11am – KAC CHARLOTTE PASS OPEN:

Entries are closed – Lucky entrants will have an entertaining Charlotte Pass day!

Wednesday 6 August 5pm – TWILIGHT RELAYS – A Nordic Shelter Fundraiser

Enter on the afternoon – The Race Office opens from 3:30 at the Nordic Shelter.

The Twilight Relays are hotly contested by teams of four skiing in ridiculous conditions and vying for Glass Mugs to add to their collections. The Relays will be followed by hot drinks and light supper. $25/team member. Prizes for a variety of age and other classes with appreciation for fancy dress.

An Australian National Team Fundraiser, generously sponsored by the Sundeck Hotel.

ANYONE can win this one!
Your handicap will be ENTIRELY based on your estimated time. Nominate your handicap in whole minutes. It will be adjusted for any course/distance change. If you break your estimated time by more than the percentage set by the Handicapper you are out of the running.

Friday 8 August 9am – MYSTERY COFFEE TOUR #2 – Enter on the day

A Guided Tour to a mystery destination on the XC trails to enjoy social hot and cold drinks and snacks in a beautiful location.

Final event of the week with distances and age groups for all.

END-OF XC-WEEK PRESENTATIONS:

Meet at Corroboree Lodge, Saturday mid-afternoon after the Snowy Mountains Classic Presentations  (Time TBC) – Lots of prizes for participants and volunteers, including the Big Ski Prize! You must be there to win!
