Final Final update from the shelter
Following on from John's mail from last week I would like to echo my thanks to the many volunteers and supporters who managed to run almost a full programme of events over the season despite the challenges of mother nature.
I have returned to the shelter to an unremitting view of green on the trails but have had reports from those who have got up to Charlotte Pass and beyond that there is still snow to be found for some touring if the weather looks good. Over the back of Mt Stillwell towards Kangaroo Ridge, and from Wilkinsons up onto the Main Range were the routes people had used. The road is now open and clear all the way up to the turning circle at the Pass so you can get a head start on your trip.
I will be heading off tomorrow but Arnold will be keeping an eye on things and the shelter open for those who still need to collect their skis for the next week or so
Look forward to catching up at a Working Bee soon and looking forward to a whiter season next year.
