The Perisher XC Centre Trails and Conditions Report
Fri, Jun 14th, 2024 8:57 am

Another very cold night, -5C, and now a chilly and very still morning. All very good for our snow cover. A broken dark grey mid level overcast is above us. Another wonderful day ahead.

The snow cover is still dry due to the cold dry weather and is self compacting nicely. If you've some spare time over the next few days, it would not be wasted by a visit here around the shelter. Remember to bring your own crockery and cutlery and please take it home too. Yesterday a group of around 10 to 15 skiers on touring skis had a great day tearing up the slope below the Stables before wandering off down the trails with due caution avoiding the thinner areas where bushes, rocks and creeks are emerging..

Trail grooming will not commence until further substantial snowfalls deliver a deep enough snow base to pack and build the trails.

The PXC Wild Cam and Rhythm Cam, are worth viewing if you wish to know the current state of the XC trails. A link is in the Quick links.

If you're looking for tax deductions for the approaching end of the financial year, consider a tax deductable donation to the Nordic Shelter. A link is in the Quick links.

Note that we won't issue daily trail reports until grooming starts.
