The Perisher XC Centre Trails and Conditions Report
Fri, Jul 4th, 2025 6:00 am

Despite the lack of a groom on Thursday and the very moist conditions overnight, the snow cover held up quite well and plenty of people were out on the trails.

A good freeze overnight allowed the groomer to give a light touch up to the 2.5, 3.5 and 5km trails. With so much moisture in the snow it was difficult to get a really good finish. Track setting will depend on the snow condition later in the morning. The 10km should only be skied on touring skis or by very experienced skiers. There are some difficult downhills and there is not a lot of snow left to rebuild. Hopefully next week's forecast for snow is accurate.

As we approach the busy part of the season, keep an eye on the events section below and access the calendars for National and local events from the links.

Don't forget the 63rd Junior Paddy Pallin event on tomorrow, 5th July. It is a low key fun event for kids on skis. It is free to enter. Entries on the day from 9:00am to 10:30am.

Also  happening tomorrow is the come and try day. A great time for all newcomers to XC skiing. Register online.

Sunday is the Cooma clean out the wax box or cobwebs. Choose classic or skate. 5km. Register on the day. 10:00 am start.
