NSWACT XC Winter Program Coach – 2026 Season

The NSWACT XC Committee of Snow Australia is inviting applications from experienced cross-country ski coaches for the 2026 Australian winter season, based in the picturesque Snowy Mountains of New South Wales.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, positive coach who thrives in a team environment and enjoys working with a diverse group of athletes. The primary focus of this role is the development of junior skiers aged 12–18, with some coaching responsibilities for senior and masters athletes.

The Program

The NSWACT XC Winter Program includes:

  • A 3-week daily school holiday program
  • Development camps and race support
  • Training and racing program for NSWACT XC Team athletes
  • Development program for emerging NSWACT XC athletes
  • School programs
  • A masters program

Note: Additional casual coaches may be engaged as required throughout the season.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop training and lesson plans in collaboration with the Head Coach (on-snow and dryland)
  • Work positively and collaboratively with administrative staff, leadership, and fellow coaches
  • Plan and deliver on-snow and dryland training sessions
  • Prepare and support athletes at competitions
  • Communicate effectively with athletes and parents/guardians
  • Complete associated administrative tasks
  • Undertake additional duties as required


Commitment

  • Approximately 25–35 hours per week
  • 6 days per week from June to October
  • Flexibility for additional days off during quieter periods (by arrangement)
