The 2017 NSWXC Charlotte Pass Camp was a huge success! It was our biggest camp ever, with lots of new kids joining us for the fun and our coaches Adrian, Carla, Australian Team member Phil Bellingham and multiple French National Champion Iris Pesseytte. The group experienced some beautiful backcountry skiing with the help and knowledge of our guide Arnold.

Throughout the week, the group skied to the peak of Mt Stillwell and to Seaman’s hut – with some groups making it all the way to the top of Mt Kosciusko! Along with this, there was daily yoga sessions, many fun skis around Charlotte pass, technique sessions, strength sessions and Ski Orienteering.

A big thank you to KAC Charlotte Pass for providing the great accommodation and meals. The delicious food kept our tired skiers happy! Also, a big thanks to all the coaches, guides and organisers behind the scenes who made it such a great week and, especially, to Fiona Wright for being the Parent on Duty.

The camp was a fantastic end to NSWXC’s 2017 Australian winter season and we are already counting down the days until the 2018 season. Until then, it’s time to get those rollerskis on!
